Our approach to bespoke car preparation
Car preparation is about far more than raising an engine's power. At Bernis Factory, every operation starts from how the car is actually used and from its owner, whether they drive on the road, on track or both. Our engine engineer maps the engine and gearbox case by case, never reusing a generic setting that would ignore the car in front of him.
This bespoke logic also shapes our blog. Rather than standard tips, we share the way we work on high-end sports cars, from Ferraris to BMW Ms, including Mercedes AMG, Porsche and Nissan GT-R. The idea is simple: to make our technical choices clear so you understand what is really happening under your car's bonnet.
Car preparation and the Paul Ricard circuit
A large part of the preparation we discuss here revolves around the track. Our workshop is located 700 metres from the Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castelet, which lets us support owners before, during and after a track day. We are an official BMW M France partner for track support and recommended by ORECA, and our team has a recovery truck to step in directly on site.
Car preparation in Signes and around Le Castelet
Bernis Factory is located at 26 Allée de Dublin in Signes, in the Var. This closeness to the Paul Ricard circuit shapes our business and feeds the topics of this blog: maintaining a sports car before a track day, chassis and braking preparation, or restoring a youngtimer. Enthusiasts from the region and visitors passing through Le Castelet will find concrete insights into our three trades: maintenance, preparation and restoration.

Discuss your preparation projectA blog dedicated to high-end car preparation
Finding a car preparation blog that genuinely talks about bespoke mechanics is rare. Much of the content out there sticks to generalities, when every high-end sports car has its own requirements. Bernis Factory covers these subjects from its Signes workshop, with the eye of an engine engineer used to mapping engine and gearbox rather than applying ready-made settings.
Across its pages, this blog ties together our three trades: maintaining sports cars, preparing their engine, chassis and braking, and restoring youngtimers and classic cars. It is also a gateway to our services and our work, to move from reading to a concrete project around the Paul Ricard circuit.
