High-performancebraking
A braking system worthy of your sports car, prepared for the road as much as for the Paul Ricard circuit.
- Workshop 700 m from the Paul Ricard circuit
- Official BMW M France partner
- Bespoke settings, never generic
Braking that matches your sports car
Discs, pads, fluid and settings chosen for your car and the way you drive, on the road and on track.
Braking designed for every use
Three uses, one shared demand for consistent braking.
- ▸ On the road
- Firm, durable braking so you can enjoy your sports car every day with full confidence.
- ▸ On track
- Resistance to heat build-up so you can string laps together without losing bite.
- ▸ Before a track day
- A full check of the system before driving at the Paul Ricard circuit.
- ▸ At servicing
- Inspection of wear and braking condition at every visit to the workshop.
Why your sports car's braking matters
On a high-end sports car, the braking system takes on as much stress as the engine, if not more. With every hard stop, the discs and pads heat up, and it is their ability to dissipate that heat that determines how consistent the braking stays lap after lap. High-performance braking is therefore not just about braking harder: it is about keeping a firm pedal and a stable stopping distance, whether you drive on open roads or on track.
This is especially true of the cars we look after at Bernis Factory, from Ferraris to BMW Ms, including Mercedes AMG, Porsche and Nissan GT-R. The faster and heavier a car is at high speed, the more its braking system needs to be designed around its real use. Our role is to align the braking with the way you actually use the car, without over-engineering it or leaving any weak point.

Our approach to high-performance braking
Our approach to high-performance braking follows the same bespoke logic as the rest of the workshop. Rather than applying a single solution to every car, we start from your vehicle, its weight, its power and its programme: road, track days, or both. That analysis then guides the technical choices, from the disc-and-pad pairing to the brake fluid suited to high temperatures.
This work is part of our three trades, maintenance, preparation and restoration, and is often coordinated with chassis preparation and track preparation. Braking performance only makes sense when it works together with the running gear and the intended use, which is why we treat it as part of a coherent whole rather than in isolation.
High-performance braking and the Paul Ricard circuit
Our workshop is located 700 metres from the Paul Ricard circuit at Le Castelet, and a large part of our work revolves around the track. High-performance braking is at its most relevant there: the track is where the system is worked hardest, with repeated stops from high speed. We are an official BMW M France partner for track support and recommended by ORECA, and our team has a recovery truck to step in directly on site. This closeness lets us prepare a car, see it run, then adjust whatever needs it.
High-performance braking in Signes and around Le Castelet
Bernis Factory is located at 26 Allée de Dublin in Signes, in the Var. This location, a few minutes from the Paul Ricard circuit, makes high-performance braking a daily subject for us: preparing a sports car before a track day, checking the state of the braking at servicing, or bringing a classic car back up to standard during a restoration. Whether you are from the region or passing through Le Castelet, you will find a workshop that understands the real demands of a braking system under load.
Also worth exploring in the workshop
Braking is rarely prepared on its own: it works together with the chassis, track preparation and our completed projects.
Frequently asked questions about high-performance braking
- What is high-performance braking?
- It is a braking system designed to stay effective and consistent in demanding conditions, particularly during repeated stops from high speed. The goal is a firm pedal and a stable stopping distance, on the road as well as on track.
- Is high-performance braking useful off the track?
- Yes. Even on the road, a well-sized braking system brings confidence and consistency. It simply becomes even more important on track, where the system is worked repeatedly.
- Do you work on braking for every make of sports car?
- We work on the high-end sports cars we look after every day, such as Ferrari, BMW M, Mercedes AMG, Porsche or Nissan GT-R. Each car is handled according to its real use, road or track.
- Do you give a price for high-performance braking?
- No. Each operation depends on the car, its condition and the intended use. The simplest step is to tell us about your project so we can study the most suitable solution.
- Do you prepare the braking before a day at the Paul Ricard circuit?
- Yes. Our workshop is 700 metres from the circuit at Le Castelet. We can check and prepare the braking before a track session, and we provide track support as an official BMW M France partner.
A workshop dedicated to braking on high-end sports cars
Finding a specialist in high-performance braking for a high-end sports car is far from obvious. Many workshops treat braking as a simple maintenance task, when it directly shapes the safety and driving pleasure of a fast car. Bernis Factory approaches this subject from its Signes workshop, with the eye of a workshop used to cars of character and their use on track.
By linking braking to chassis preparation, track preparation and our completed projects, we give this area the place it deserves in preparing a sports car. The goal remains the same as everywhere else in the workshop: work tailored to your car and the way you drive, close to the Paul Ricard circuit, rather than a generic recipe.
Let's talk about your high-performance braking project
A sports car to prepare for the road or for the Paul Ricard circuit? Tell us about your car and how you use it, and we will work out the most suitable braking solution together.
A project,
a call.
Tell us about your car and how you use it. We'll figure out the right service together — maintenance, engine tuning, chassis, restoration.
